About Mons Royale 

From Lake Wanaka New Zealand, Mons Royale creates versatile merino clothing designed to deliver both technical performance and style. We don’t think you should have to compromise either one of these, which is why we strive to design garments that riders love because they work brilliantly and feel great to wear and look good on. We want to create clothes you want to wear every day, not just the days you’re out on the hill.

Wool:
  • Mons Royale use ZQ Merino to guarantee the world's highest standards in fibre quality, animal welfare and environmental management. Merino wool is a natural product that performs better than its man-made counterparts. Renewable (the sheep regrows fleece annually) and biodegradable, it's a great choice for both performance and the environment.
Manufacturing:
  • The factories Mons Royale works with are great places to work and adhere to the highest standards for production quality and impact on the environment.
Packaging: 
  • Mons Royale's packaging uses 50% recycled cardboard and paper from sustainable sources and is uncoated to aid recycling.

 

Fit Guide 

Slim Fit

Mons slim fit is athletic and fitted without being skin tight. Long in the body and longer at the rear for coverage and comfort. Used in Mons underwear and performance base layer designs.

Mons' Standard Fit

A little longer in the body and a little loose than most base or mid layers. Mons' standard fit is designed to give you room to move - whether that's tweaking it out over your favourite hit, or throwing some shapes on the dancefloor.

Relaxed Fit

A comfortably loose fit for a casual style yet cleverly cut so that it's versatile enough to work on or off the mountain.

How to Measure:
  • Chest/Bust - Measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest/bust.
  • Waist - Measure around your waist across your belly button
  • Hip - Measure at the widest point, not the waistband.
  • Inside Leg - Measure from the crotch down.
Washing Instructions :
  • Warm or cool delicate machine wash
  • Wash colours separately
  • Wash garments inside out
  • Close all zippers
  • Use regular detergent
  • Do not use fabric softener or bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not dry clean
  • Do not iron prints
  • Line dry or dry flat in shade

Each fleece is assessed in the wool shed by an expert wool classer to ensure only the nest bres are spun into our yarn.
The ZQ process ensures that our wool quality is consistent and tests for whiteness, strength, low variation and contamination.
ZQ Merino grower suppliers all share a common passion and dedication to careful stewardship of the land and the health and safety of those living and working on it.

ZQ Merino is only sourced from accredited farmers who meet the highest on-farm standards. ZQ growers pride themselves on best practice in social and environmental responsibility.
Mulesing is not practiced by any ZQ grower. And because our wool can be traced back to the farm it came from, you can be assured that your Mons Royale merino is 100% mulesing free.
All ZQ growers are assessed and audited by trained and quali ed third party auditors from AsureQuality, who visually inspect sheep, farms and facilities to ensure these rigorous standards are met.
